As long as the truth of the gospel is preached, it stands as a barrier against false doctrine. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Pastor Donnie Swaggart reads Colossians 3:1-4 continuing his study on false doctrine in the church. Unfortunately, today, the truth of the gospel is not being preached, as it should. Too many preachers are denying important biblical prophecies like the rapture and tongues as the initial, physical evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Brother Donnie says, adding to the demise, alcohol and gambling are a part of far too many Christian’s lives, including pastors and leaders. The Apostle Paul would address every lie in the early church with the truth. We are crucified with Christ; therefore, we have died, are buried, and have risen with Christ. There was a spiritual death at our salvation, but then we are resurrected in newness of life by the power of the Holy Spirit. In Christ, we are made new. We now have the power to let our light shine before men. We must not be earthly focused, but heavenly minded.
