THE INCENSE OF PRAYER- When we pray, Satan has to back off, and angels are dispersed. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Pastor Tommy Bates from Independence Kentucky reads Psalm 141:1-2 teaching on prayer in the life of a believer. Brother Bates lays out the various different kinds of prayer beginning with our silent prayers. He explains the importance of intercessory prayer and how our petitions and supplications are so important for God to hear everyday of our lives. He says, far too often, the believer minimizes prayer to a want list, and fails to worship and magnify our Almighty God. He explains the Hebrew word tefillah, for this is a prayer of song, as we find in the Book of Psalms. When our heartfelt prayers are spoken, a song rises up with a supernatural power, just as the incense rose up in the temple of God into the heavenlies. Our awesome God hears our prayers, and He answers according to His will.
