WOMEN IN MINISTRY- God has a place and role for both genders in the work of God. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Pastor Donnie Swaggart welcomes JR Armstrong from MAG Church in Mauriceville Texas to the panel as he continues his study in the Book of Philemon. Philemon, his wife, and his son lived for the Lord in the early church of Colosse; Paul referred to Philemon’s wife as “beloved Apphia, as she was an integral part of the work of the church at that time. Brother Donnie says God’s design has always been with a man leading, but there are times when there is no man available, maybe the male pastor was killed and his wife is the only one knowledgeable to take his place. Brother Donnie shares the story of how his entire family was saved because of the faith of two women who were obedient to the call of God to come to Ferriday Louisiana and clear a vacant lot of weeds for a tent revival, which brought the first message of Pentecost to that little community. Not long later, their efforts grew into the Ferriday Assemblies of God Church. First Corinthians 11:5 is clear, women were praying and prophesying in the early church and prophesying is preaching.
