RESTORING THE LOCUST YEARS- God is a God of restoration. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Dr. Dave Watts reads Joel 2:25-32 teaching on the restoration afforded to all who will believe. No matter our situation, the Lord will make us new. In Old Testament times, God employed locusts as a sign of His judgment; today, He wants to restore what the locusts have eaten. These devouring insects are a picture of the effects of sin in our lives. When we are obedient to the ways of God, we will avoid the “locusts” and find blessings. We can leave our broken past in the hands of God, and watch what He will do with it. In Christ, we are a new creation. Christ died for every sin, every mistake, we have ever, and will ever make. Joel prophesied that God’s Spirit will be poured out and there will be a restoration of His creation. When we are found in Christ, we can count on His promise, if we only believe.
