THE THREE DIFFERING OPINIONS ABOUT THE BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT- Tonight, at Family Worship Center, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart reads Acts 1:4-5 and verse 8 teaching on the infilling of the Holy Spirit. First, Pastor Gabe looks at the Non-Pentecostal view, which wrongly teaches that everything is given at salvation. Second, he addresses the Oneness religion, which wrongly teaches, that the infilling of the Holy Spirit and tongues is present at salvation, and if it is not, the individual is not saved. The correct, traditional teaching of Pentecostalism is that we do receive the Holy Spirit at salvation, but there is a second subsequent work called the Baptism with the Holy Spirit. The initial, physical evidence of this second work is that the believer will speak in another tongue. Pastor Gabe encourages every believer to ask and receive. Step into the river, where the power of God will flood your soul. This second work empowers us to respond to the call of God on our lives, which helps us to be obedient to fulfill the Great Commission, i.e., reaching the lost for the Kingdom of God.
