THE STORM OF TRIAL- Tonight at Family Worship Center, Guest Pastor Tommy Bates from Independence Kentucky, reads Matthew 14:24-29 teaching on the testing of our faith. We cannot be in the presence of God, and at the same time, be disobedient to His Word. The Book of Jonah shows us just how difficult and rebellious our flesh is. Looking at Jonah’s self-inflicted storm, God shows His patience to our disobedience. But after awhile, God will lift His hedge of protection and the storm will come. Even when we have a call of God on our lives, there are storms of opposition that come from the adversary. We must know that during these storms, God is with us. When we go through a storm of testing, God wants to show us Christ in a way we have never experienced Him before. In every storm, He is with us.
