FELLOW LABORERS- Tonight at Family Worship Center, Pastor Donnie Swaggart and panel begin a study of the Book of Philemon reading chapter one-verse one looking at the Apostle Paul’s writings from prison in Rome. Paul refers to himself as a prisoner of Jesus Christ, not Nero. Paul addresses Philemon with thanksgiving for his contribution and faithfulness to the church at Colosse, for Philemon was of great wealth and standing and had opened his home to the church. When we are in Christ, we are no longer to be self-serving. Pastor Donnie reminds all believers that we are to be servants of Jesus Christ, i.e., fellow laborers, recognizing the call of God on our lives. When we give and labor to build His kingdom, we are in right relationship with Christ, crucified with Him, and showing our love for all He has done.
