Satan tempted Jesus, trying to get Him to step outside of the will of God. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Hebrews 2:5-8 discussing the incarnation of Jesus. When God became man, He did not lose possession of His deity, but He did lose expression of it. Jesus is the 2nd Adam and the last Adam. He came to this earth as He did to save mankind. The panel discusses how if Christ had sinned, even once, it would have all been over. To save fallen man, He had to become man and He had to be sinless. He did what He came to do; not by His deity, but as the Son of God, in His humanity, led by the power of the Holy Spirit. His humanity had to be tested. We, as His children, have this same power of the Holy Spirit to help us. All that was lost at the fall, Christ restored at Calvary. Jesus said as a child that He came to do His Father’s business, and on the Cross He said, it is finished.
