Wednesday Evening Service - Apr. 26th, 2023
Wednesday Night Service • 26-Apr-2023
We have one High Priest, Christ Jesus. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Hebrews 4:14, discussing the role of the priest in the Old Covenant and the New. The priests of the tribe of Levi were to seek God on behalf of the people, but now we have one great High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only one mediator between man and God. The Old Covenant pointed to the one High Priest to come. Jesus interceded for us on the Cross. He finished the work, and there is no longer a need for earthly priests. God, through Moses, gave the Law’s instruction, and David established it for Solomon, but Jesus broke the order and the process of the Law. A change in the priesthood means a change in the Law. The Law was fulfilled in totally by the death of Christ on Calvary’s Cross.
