Justification is an action of God’s free grace, a divine acquittal that comes from God when we show forth faith in Christ and ask to be forgiven of our sin. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 5:1-3, discussing justification by faith. When the sinner repents, he or she is pardoned, and freed from the power of sin. This is God’s verdict that stands, and will never change, unless we choose to no longer believe. At salvation, regardless of our sinful past, in Christ, we have the imputed righteousness and holiness of Christ living inside. Here and here alone, God sees us as perfect, despite the fact that our outward condition is far from perfect.
