THE AUTHORITY OF SCRIPTURE- Tonight at Family Worship Center, Pastor David Watts preaches from 2 Peter 1:16-21 emphasizing the importance of scripture in the life of the believer. Brother Watts says the Bible is the inspired Word of God and anyone who says otherwise is a liar. It is not a book of fables as some teach. It is a book of instruction, prophecy, and history. The Apostles give a first hand, eyewitness account of their time walking with Jesus on this earth, to His death, and resurrection. They saw it all. Brother Watts walks us through time from the earliest bible translations to today and the different theories believed about the bible. The bible does not contradict itself; it is the infallible and inherent Word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit. Its illumination is ongoing to those who read it, for all scripture is measured in the light of the Cross. God has preserved His Word, and it is His revelation to man.
