Jesus came to this world for one specific reason, to die on Calvary’s Cross. He needed the grace of God to accomplish this task, because He was a man, the man, Christ Jesus. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Hebrews 2:9. Brother Swaggart emphasizes the importance of preaching the Cross for salvation, yes, but it must also be preached for life and living. The Doctrine of Sanctification is often not understood, and many churches are teaching how to live holy for the Lord incorrectly. The only answer for sin in the life of a believer is the blood of Jesus. Proper faith in the finished work of Christ can break every bondage in a person’s life. Brother Swaggart explains how a believer is washed and sanctified when we are born again we are set apart for God; then, throughout our Christian walk there will be an ongoing, progressive sanctification. This is where our condition can be brought up to our position in Christ. The Cross is at the center of every true move of God, if it’s not, it’s a move of man and not of God; nothing in my hand I bring only to the Cross I cling.
