Faith in the Cross of Christ is the only way of sanctification for the believer to live a victorious Christian life. When we take up His Cross daily, we will find the Holy Spirit will help us to stand against the evil efforts of Satan. The Cross is the solution to our problems. We have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness, and have been liberated into the kingdom of the Son. (Colossians 1:13) Now we shall serve in the newness of the Spirit, and not the oldness of the letter. This is not doing works and law by our willpower, but by faith in Christ alone.
