Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss how faith in Christ results in a changed life. Reading Romans 2:27, and shall not uncircumcision, which is by nature if it fulfilled the law, judge you, who by the letter and circumcision do transgress the law. This verse speaks of the Jews of that day trying to keep the letter of the law by engaging in all of its rituals, but continue to transgress the law. Believers must know, you can’t accept Christ, experience regeneration, as we are baptized into Christ, and have the Holy Spirit moving inside of us and remain the same. After salvation, addressing our sanctification, the Holy Spirit begins pointing out things we should not do, and things that we should do as Christians. He won’t let up. He moves in immediately, so the speed in which we change differs from individual to individual. He works 24 hours a day. He doesn’t sleep, and He doesn’t change; but we do.
