Should believers ever compromise truth for the sake of Unity? Today Brother Swaggart and his panel address just that. Loren Larson says unity is needed in the body of Christ, with a need for more love; however, Larson is clear, that means we must stand for the truth of God’s Word and to never waiver or back down from true doctrine. The panel today is discussing a group of worldly known Protestant Pastors that had an audience with Pope Frances in 2014; that group came away from that meeting saying the Reformation was wrong. Brother Bob Cornell says, they were determined to find unity, and as a result, forgo truth. In scripture John 14:17, the panel highlights that the world cannot receive the Spirit of truth because they cannot see Him or know Him. Brother Dave Smith says, the results of that meeting would imply Catholic doctrine was correct, which goes against what the Protestant Church stands for.
