Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss imputed righteousness. Abraham’s simple faith in God’s plan brought him imputed righteousness. He didn’t get righteousness for believing God for a son, but he believed God for His plan to bring in a nation of souls through his lineage; ushering in the lineage of Jesus Christ. It’s not our plan, but God’s plan. This is the example of how we receive from God. When we believe at salvation, we are raised with Him in newness of life. (Romans 6:4 & 5)
