Jesus was born divine, and the Cross of Christ is the oldest doctrine of the bible. Today on A Study In The Word, Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the Trinity, and how it needs to be understood. Sin is so bad that God Himself had to step out of heaven as the Son of God, Jesus Christ, to save us from sin and self. Christianity is the greatest story, with the blood sacrifices beginning in the Old Testament, where animal blood had to be spilled; and now, in the New Testament, Paul is writing about God’s only Son having to be delivered up. Jesus Christ is the ultimate sacrifice. He was born to die for all mankind. Believers need a good understanding of the atonement and of this imputation of righteousness that we experience in Christ; this is what the incarnation is all about.
