Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel welcome special guest Evangelist Jason Stidham as they discuss sanctification in the born again believer, looking at the history of the Holiness movement. Brother Larson says this teaching was incorrect, reading Romans 6:11, we read, that we are dead unto sin, and alive unto God when we are saved and justified. As a Christian, we are not progressively defeating sin, but we are growing in grace in what Christ already won on our behalf on Calvary’s Cross. At conversion, we are saved, sanctified and justified. On the Cross, Jesus said, “it is finished.”
