God in us will work in us; we don’t need to fight against sin by self-efforts, then we invalidate Calvary. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss how the Holy Spirit will work in every believer when we anchor our faith in Christ’s finished work. The bible teaches that a man is born in sin. When we try to figure out our issues with the ways of man, like using psychology, we will find sin is not acknowledged let alone addressed. Brother Smith says humanistic psychology says man is inherently good, which we know is not true. At salvation, God’s grace will work in our lives to change us into the image of Christ; this happens by resting in Christ’s finished work alone.
