Today on A Study in The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the great empires of old being referred to in scripture as beasts. Concerning the rest of the beast, they had their dominion taken away, yet their lives were prolonged for a season in time; here scripture refers to the kingdoms preceding the little horn, beginning back with the Babylonian Empire. Even though these empires have long since past away, still Gentiles rule the world. This is referred to as the times of the Gentiles, the prolonging will continue until the Second Coming; at that time, Israel will accept Christ immediately, because the Antichrist will be destroyed. The Battle of Armageddon will be stopped, and millions in the army of the Antichrist will die. Jesus Christ will be recognized for who He is. Israel will accept Him. Every single Jew and Israeli, on the face of the earth, will accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. People from all over the world will want to come to Israel to be close to their Messiah.
