He warns that deception is at hand and sin in a believer’s life must be addressed. The proof of true Christianity is a changed life. With our faith anchored in the finished work of Christ, the blood of Jesus cleanses us; we are justified and declared not guilty. The Holy Spirit, the third person of the triune Godhead, is the mechanic in this great work of grace.
