False doctrines and ways of men are pulling believer’s faith to something other than Jesus. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 6:22 discussing psychological counseling and other philosophies of man that do not point to the Cross of Christ as the only answer for every problem of man. There is nothing within psychological counseling that aligns with the Word of God as sin is not addressed. Brother Watts says many believers do not understand the role of the Holy Spirit; when our faith is anchored in the finished work of Christ, the Holy Spirit will lead us into a quality of life that Christ died for. His death affords us all the benefits He won on our behalf on the Cross.
