Before Christ, we had no righteousness. What fruit had you then in those things? Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 6:20-22 looking at our lives before conversion to Christ. A person may do good things to help out humanity, but outside of salvation, nothing that we do here on this earth is going to impact eternity. Without salvation, man is at enmity with God. No matter how many good deeds a person does, salvation cannot be earned. It is a heart acceptance and revelation that one needs to believe, and understand that without receiving Christ as our personal Savior we will not make heaven.
