Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the problem of sin, and its only cure is what Christ did for us on Calvary’s Cross. Sin is the cause of war, divorce, murder, crime; it’s the cause of every type of thing that you can think of. Sin is the culprit, and it has soaked this earth with blood, and the only cure for it, is what Jesus Christ did at the Cross. For not the hearers of the law are just before God, the mere having of the law, or even hearing the law, saves no one, but the doers of the law shall be justified. Paul here is saying that if you think you are justified by your actions you would have to keep the law completely and entirely for the entire portion of your life, all of it; what Paul means by justified is, that by faith we are justified because no man is worthy of salvation because of their own works, but by the finished work of our Savior, Jesus Christ
