Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 6:18 and 19 discussing living for God His way and not by the means of the flesh. Through the Holy Spirit, we have God’s supernatural power that leads us and allows us to live for Him. There is no other way to live a victorious Christian life. Once saved, the bible does not teach that we will never sin again, but it does teach that sin is not to have dominion over a believer’s life. By the grace of God, granted by having properly placed faith in the Cross of Christ, we are guaranteed the help of the Holy Spirit. We cannot acquire righteousness and holiness in anything we do in and of ourselves. It is faith in Christ alone where He helps us in our weaknesses.
