Today on A Study in The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 6:12-14 discussing how the sin nature remains in a saved life, but it is not to rule in that life. Brother Gray explains the difference of doctrine regarding Calvinism and Arminianism with regards to free will and how God’s plan of salvation works. We believe that Arminianism is correct doctrine where man has a free will to choose Christ as their Savior and be saved from sin and self. Believing in the Cross of Christ is the only way to have victory over sin, and can walk out our Christian walk pleasing to God. Now that we are dead indeed unto sin, we can stop letting the sin nature reign. As a believing child of God, we can be free from the dominion of sin.
