Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and the panel discuss the sovereignty of God, looking at how Israel’s covenant is no longer enforced because it was broken. They, in essence, have broken the Old Covenant; so now they have a period of time where there is no prophetic voice. Prophets enforce or withhold Covenants, and there was no Covenant there to retain. It was not God’s will that Israel would reject her Messiah, but He allowed it to happen. He could have stopped it. He’s God, and He’s able to do all things; He’s allowing a lot of things to happen now, because the church is weak. It’s not living, doing, or being, what it ought to be. We know that God can come on the seen at any point and interrupt natural law.
