Today on a Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and the panel discuss Dominionism. It is the false idea that the church now has to take possession of the earth, and the Second Coming of Christ will be when He returns to the earth after the church has subdued the planet with Christianity. Brother John says we have Dominionist today that run on two streets, the Evangelicals and the Reconstructionist. The evangelicals are inclusive; they believe everything is going to be reconciled back together, and there is going to be a form of unity. The Reconstructionist believes that in order to claim ascendancy of the world, they will have to bring back the Old Testament laws minus the sacrificial system.
