The believer must understand justification by faith to understand progressive sanctification. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel welcome pastors Tommy Bates and Bill Bailey, as they read 1 John 1:9. If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sin. Brother Swaggart says all too often this is taught as a verse for the unsaved, but it’s for the saved. A true believer feels conviction when they sin, they will ask for forgiveness of God, and it will be given. The panel discusses the Grace Revolution Movement and how it often twists the grace of God to many untruths about sin and how it is to be handle in the believer’s life.
