The moment that a person gives their heart to Christ, they are born again. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the teachings of the Apostle Paul in the third chapter of Romans. He says if man is left on his own, man will not seek God. The Holy Spirit, through the great Apostle, lets us know the true character of the human being. Paul here is writing to an element of Jews and Gentiles in the Roman church. The Holy Spirit will work in the heart and the life of the believer if we make the Cross of Christ the object of our faith, then we can be an overcomer. God will view us as judge, and then He’ll view us as a physician. This shows the lost evil condition of humanity without God; after repentance, He is our healer and can give us victory over sin.
