For whosoever will, let him come and take of the water of life freely, but that is not the solution to our problem. The believer must be plugged into the right object of faith, the finished work of Christ, and then the Holy Spirit will help us to live a victorious Christian walk. All too often, the church will bring people to the Cross for salvation, and leave it there. At salvation, the Holy Spirit is just getting started; for the law of the spirit of life, in Christ Jesus, has made us free from the law of sin and death. In Christ, we find more abundant life.
