The believer’s approach to God should never change. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discusses humility and how the Spirit of God works in a life He works by the hearing of faith and not the works of the law. Galatians 2:20 is clear that by faith in the Cross of Christ, He lives in us, and it is not our own self efforts that bring about victory over sin. How we began our walk with the Lord is how we continue in the Lord. All too often, sin is being redefined in churches today; if we don’t understand our need for constant help, we will not realize our need for a Savior. In Romans chapter eight, we read how we can be renewed day by day, and the sin nature will remain dormant in our life when our faith is anchored in His finished work alone. This is His power within us, doing what only He can do.
