Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss what Holy Communion represents. Jesus said, this is my body, broken for you. This do, in remembrance of me. The Lord is saying, this do in remembrance; do it daily, remember it daily. I don’t have to do the elements; I don’t have to have the bread and the cup, but know in my heart what it represents. After the same manner also, He took the cup, when He had supped saying, this cup is the New Testament in my blood, this do, as often as you drink it in remembrance of me. For as often, as you eat this bread, and drink this cup, you do show forth the Lord’s death until He comes. We must remember this, until He comes; pondering, living and believing every day what the Cross means.
