Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss what takes place when we give our hearts to Jesus Christ. We are washed, sanctified, and justified. Many believers make the mistake of taking on self-efforts and works to result in the sanctified life we think we need to see immediately. If one is born again, we are also sanctified. The Holy Spirit is in our heart and in our lives, helping us to live the life that we ought to live. He points out things that are not right, to help us embrace things that are right, and He works according to our sanctification. In God’s eyes we are seen perfect through the blood of His Son, but in the terms of growth, the Holy Spirit will bring our condition up to our position in Christ.
