The first thing the Holy Spirit does, whenever He comes into a person’s life, is to rid that person of sin. Second, the baptism with the Holy Spirit empowers the believer for a life of ministry to point people to Christ. We must separate the event of the baptism with the Holy Spirit, as a second subsequent event for service, and the first event for salvation and righteous living.
