Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and the panel discuss Romans 1:3, looking at the incarnation of Jesus. As mysterious, and as profound as it is, it is very hard to understand with the natural mind. Brother Gray shares how his liberal professors in seminary taught the humanity of Christ, but when it came to the miracles, and the stories, they didn’t believe the supernatural. They understood the whole teaching of the Old Testament about the Messiah, but they explained away the miracles as myths. The panel agrees that God has to reveal Himself to people. Like the Apostle Paul, he was well learned in scripture, but he didn’t believe until he was on the road to Damascus and he was knocked down by the revelation of God.
