Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss Daniel chapter nine and the importance and power of prayer and prophecy. This bible prophecy was not for Daniel just mere intellectual entertainment, but moral and spiritual nourishment. A supplication is to supplicate to the Lord, for Him to give an answer to certain questions that we might have or situations that we need to have untangled. These answers can come about in prayer when we seek the face of the Lord. Brother Swaggart says we can be sure Daniel had a prayer life. We need the Lord’s help, and if we will seek Him for the help we need, He will hear us. God will begin to move on us, as we pray, and He will give us the desires of our hearts when we are seeking His will. Intercessory prayer is also important, praying for others and situations that impact many; often times, we know not what to pray, and then the Holy Spirit will take over as far as putting in our hearts who to pray for, and what to pray for.
