Today on A Study In The Word, Brother Swaggart and panel discuss all of the Kingdoms that are represented in the Book of Daniel in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. His was the first, the head of gold, the Babylonians. Just prior to that, was the last time Israel reigned. Going back, 2600 years, from now until then, Israel has been subject to the authority and power of another Kingdom, a foreign entity. At the time of Christ, there was the mighty Roman empire. During the time just after World War I, the land of Israel was under the control of the British and the French. Brother Swaggart asks, why is the State of Israel, the people of Israel so important to God considering that they wanted Jesus Christ to be crucified? The answer: God made a Covenant with Abraham, and He confirmed that Covenant with Abraham and his seed. It’s an eternal Covenant; but also, the Covenant involves the land. Brother Swaggart says the Jewish people, and the land, are never to be separated, they are interconnected.
