WE ARE SLAVES TO RIGHTEOUSNESS- Tonight at Crossfire, Pastor Paris Ragan reads Romans 6:15-23, teaching on how to walk in the power of the Spirit and live a victorious Christian life. We can be made free from sin; Pastor Paris shares the story of Hosea and how God told him to buy his wife Gomer back after she ended up in slavery because of her sinful lifestyle. Hosea sold everything he had to purchase her. This is what Christ did for us. He paid a debt we could not pay, and now we are in a marriage with our Savior. In our Covenant with Christ, we are not only His bride, but we are His servant. As believers, we are never actually free; we are either servants of sin or servants of righteousness. Unsaved, we live under the law of sin and death; but when the blood of Jesus Christ saves us, we live under the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. Do you serve sin or righteousness? The grace of God brings salvation, but it does not give us a license to sin. We have His grace as a power source that teaches us and changes us from the inside out; it gives us power to live by. We can rest in the finished work of Christ and let Him have His way in us. We have a new master in Jesus Christ. (Titus 2:11-12)
