PERSECUTION, PEACE, AND PROMOTION- Are you submitting to the plan of God in your life? Tonight at Family Worship Center, Pastor Dave Smith preaches from Genesis chapters 39 & 41, Luke chapter 16 and John chapter 12. Through the life of Joseph we see how God works in our persecution; from his own brothers leaving him for dead, and being sold into slavery, Joseph keeps his faith in God and trusts in the plan and purpose God has for his life. Pastor Smith says Christians all too often let bitterness and unforgiveness rise up in disappointments. But we see how Joseph praised the Lord through all his trials, had the peace of the Lord, and in every situation he eventually was promoted through his circumstances to something better. Pastor Smith says we must always remember it is God doing the work in our lives, as He prepared Joseph, He is preparing us. We must remember that tribulation works patience in us, and that ultimately God’s grace is with us, and we are growing spiritually. God has a blessed purpose for all His children who keep their faith in Christ’s finished work. God will one day say, well done my good and faithful servant, no promotion will be greater.
