What is our motive? Today on Frances and Friends, Pastor Donnie Swaggart reads from Matthew 6:1-4, reminding believers, we do for the Lord as if no one is watching. The intent of our hearts should be rooted in obedience to the Lord whether we are acknowledged or not. Brother Donnie says tithing is the number one area that a believer is challenged; we need to be responsible givers, being sure that God’s work is taken care of. Brother Smith reminds us that scripture tells us we are more blessed to give then to receive. Brother Donnie explains Pentecost Sunday, that being the first outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the church; but he adds, that the Holy Spirit, like God, has always been, thus we recognize the Holy Spirit is everyday, not just one Sunday a year.
