CHARACTERISTICS OF BEING A FOOL- Today on The Generation of the Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professor, Jonathan Steele reading Ephesians 5:17, as he continues his teaching on foolishness. When it comes to the word fool, or foolish, that term is mentioned over 70 times in the book of Proverbs alone. The Holy Spirit paints a picture of a foolish individual contrasting the fool with the one who walks in the ways of the Lord and follows the path of wisdom. Proverbs 10:23 states a fool finds pleasure in evil conduct, but a man of understanding delights in wisdom. Pointing out laziness as one of the most prominent traits of a fool, a second characteristic found in a foolish individual is an uncontrolled tongue.
