It’s all found in Christ. God gives us teachers for the equipping of the saints. Today on the Generation of the Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professor Adam DeNoon. Reading in Ephesians 1:15-19, dissecting the words wisdom and revelation, as the Apostle Paul is referencing the Spirit of Wisdom. Brother DeNoon says Greeks gave much regard to wisdom, and the Greeks sought fervently after wisdom, wanting to know the truth of everything. Paul here is saying Jesus is the wisdom of God; and the Greek word for Revelation is the apocalypses, meaning the removing of a veil. We must know who Jesus is, to have correct understanding. The Holy Spirit will uncover more as we must walk in the direction of wanting to know Him. Get in the Word, but let the Word in you; Brother Gabe says we need to read the Word of God without presuppositions. Let the Holy Spirit bend us to His Will. Brother Adam says begin your study of the Bible with subjection; saying, I don’t know, but I want to, and I need revelation.
