Generation Of The Cross • 02-May-2021
Today on The Generation of The Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professor Dr. David Watts and Shawn Murphy reading Ephesians 2:1-3. And you, has He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins. We see in these first two aspects of man before conversion, he lived a life of death, a life of trespasses and sins. This speaks of total depravity due to the Fall and original sin. Every person is born in the likeness of Adam which takes upon his nature which is that of sin. Therefore, until salvation, every human being is living a life that is in constant disobedience to the word of God and to God’s standard of living. God’s standard is righteousness. We are dead in our trespasses, un-regenerated until we accept Christ. The Holy Spirit will prod us and convict us after we hear the Word preached, and hear God’s plan of salvation. If we respond in faith, we will become a new creation In Christ.
