Today on The Generation of the Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by Crossfire youth pastor, Paris Ragan, and JSBC Professors, Dr. David Watts, and Adam DeNoon discussing the differences between the Old and New Testament. The New Testament authors drew the meanings of the Old Testament into their situation. The Old Testament was relevant to the New Testament time; combining the work then, and the Holy Spirit together. With the Holy Spirit, anoints preachers and teachers and gives gifts to equip the body today, bringing them into an understanding of the word. Sometimes preachers can get lost in the ancient world, and forget, and lose sight that of we’re living in a modern world. The panel discusses the approach to youth ministry, and how ministers today can explain text and teach all ages by making the Bible come to life for believers today.
