SUBMITTING ONE TO ANOTHER- Today on The Generation of The Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professor Dave Watts reading Ephesians 5:21 as they discuss submission. The idea of vertical submission has to do with a leader and a follower, if you will, a king and a subject. Pastor Gabe says he is afraid in many churches, with regards to the pastor, there is incorrect submission playing out. When it comes to the local church, the pastor should have the final say, but the pastor is not to lord over his congregates. True biblical, spiritual submission, must be understood. When it comes to the body of Christ, we are on the same level, while our callings may be different. Our submission must be to one another horizontally, and our only submission vertically, is to God.
