If you don’t understand doctrine, you can’t apply what you know. Doctrine isn’t something that just pastors need to know. It’s something that every Christian needs to know.
Whenever Paul told Timothy to fight the good fight of faith, he said remember what was deposited into your account, remember all of the doctrines that are in scripture, and then apply that to your life. Pastor Gabe says it is awesome if we are hearing truth preached, but we don’t want to just retain head knowledge; it must be a heart knowledge that is our very own personal walk with Jesus.
