BEING FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT- Today on The Generation of The Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professor Dave Watts reading Ephesians 5:18-21, discussing what a believer is to be controlled by. All too often, we find believers, who have the wrong object of faith being controlled by sin in their lives, whether it be alcohol, drugs, pornography, gambling, gossip, lying; the list goes on and on. The Apostle Paul is saying to believers, then and now, that we should not allow these things to control us, but we should allow the Holy Spirit to control us on a daily basis. At salvation a believer is filled with the Holy Spirit, we cannot be converted and regenerated without the Holy Spirit. Pastor Gabe and Dr. Watts go on to explain this infilling at salvation, and the second subsequent work of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
