Today on The Generation of The Cross, Crossfire Youth Pastor Paris Ragan is joined by Associate Pastor Shaun Murphy as they dive into their study on the mirroring found between the gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts. We find these books are a two-volume set, but a single work. Pastor Paris says we must live for God in the present, as these writings show us how the life of Jesus is to continue on through His church. We must not be found like the Laodicean Church, which was lukewarm. Jesus warns us to not drift from our source of life in Christ, as we will be affected by the atmosphere of this world, and then we will ultimately be ineffective for the Kingdom of God. The church needs to come home, back to the Cross of Calvary. By faith in His finished work alone, we must die to self, and then and only then, we will be found alive in Christ.
