JESUS HEALS THE MAN WITH THE WITHERED HAND- A religious spirit grows weeds of the flesh, not fruit of the Spirit. Today on The Generation of The Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by Evangelist David Borg, and JSBC Professor Dave Watts as they continue their study in the third chapter of Mark. When you look at the ministry of Christ, whenever you see people that are trying to accuse him of something like healing on the Sabbath, it’s because it is going against their laws, their manmade rules. It’s like, we can’t control you, and therefore, we don’t like you. That’s really the key right there. Here is a man with a withered hand, and these people are angry that Jesus is bringing him forward. As a child of God, we need to examine ourselves daily to see if we are in the faith; and secondly, we really need to walk softly before the Lord. There is no need for us, as the body of Christ, to gossip against one another and devour one another; however, there will be times we must stand up against false doctrine. Believers must seek the Lord always, and He will direct our paths.
